2003 Pedro Maldonado Flamenco Guitar For Sale
2003 Pedro Maldonado F2 model $5,500.00
This is a concert level Flamenco guitar with a very even and balanced sound. The trebles are warm and punchy as well as the basses. It has a solid German spruce top, Spanish cypress sides & back, 660mm scale length, and is in near mint condition. The neck is a perfect thickness not like a baseball Ramirez neck and it has an ebony strip on the back that is pleasantly visible and gives extra support so that the neck will not bow. This is one of the best Flamenco blancas I have ever owned. The only reason I am selling it is that I really need the money. Otherwise, I would definitely keep it. The only difference between the FL2 model and the FL1 model is that the FL1 has a bunch of cheesy inlay in the headstock that makes it look like a mariachi guitar. The sound and the materials are the same. I have played this guitar in concert throughout the U.S. and have recorded half of my new album on it. Pedro Maldonado is the same luthier that makes the cut-away guitars for Strunz and Farah. His concert Flamenco guitars (non cut-aways) are gaining popularity among working guitarists all over the world mainly because of the quality of the sound and the durability. So if you are looking for an incredible Flamenco blanca with many years of life, this is the one for sure!
