Berto's new album is currently being recorded in Hollywood with Kai Narezo and also with Randy Tico in Santa Barbara. Randy Tico will also be producing and collaborating on the project. So far the album has some incredible guest artists including: Ryan Zermeño (cajon, percussion, palmas, and taconeo), Randy Tico (fretless bass), Carmen de Torres (cante y jaleos), Cristina Villalobos (palmas y taconeo), Cristobal Osario (cante y jaleos), Timo Nuñez (palmas), Kevin Fukagawa (piano), Ruben Martinez (flute), and special guest artist Jose Tanaka (guitar).

FlamencoGuitarClass.com is currently under construction and should be released by the end of 2007. This instructional website will be an innovative new way to learn from the very best Flamenco guitarists in Spain and the U.S.. Students will have access to expert transcriptions of award winning compositions from Jose Luis Rodriguez (Sevilla), compositions by Robert Boyd, Classical etudes, Jazz tunes, and a huge library of technical exercises for all levels. All transcriptions are accompanied by a quick time video at two speeds and angles.

In 2004 Robert started his music brokering business Boyd Music Services (BMS) which employs over 30 of the finest musicians is Southern California. Boyd Music Services has contracted musicians for large corporations like MGM Las Vegas, World Savings, Deckers, and many celebrities such as Diane Lane, Barbara Streisand, Ted Danson, Peter Gallegher, and Trip Taylor to name a few. BMS is now merging with YWD magazine and going nationwide.

"Evening of Guitar" preparing for a concert in Jan. 08' with his new group Ritmo Gitano. The concert is in Santa Maria at the Allen Hancock College. PCPA theaterfest is putting this great event together. Please look at the performance schedule for more info on this.

February 08' Flamenco Concert with dancer Lakshmi Pekarek "la gita". This concert is in it's early stages of planning but will most likely be in Santa Barbara.

Buenaventura Guitar Duo featuring the artistry of Robert Boyd (Flamenco Guitar) and Carlos Gonzales (Classical Guitar). Carlos and I are now in the process of arranging performance material and researching repertoire. We just played a concert for the Santa Clarita Symphony in Oct. of 07'. More news soon to come about this duo.

Berto's two advanced students, Bruno Panunzio and Ryder Fitzpatrick are gaining popularity with many of the BMS clientel. Berto has created a unique repertoire for each of these up and coming performers and there is alot of exciting new music coming for 2008. Currently they are both tackling some Piazolla, Peña, Roland Dyens, Paco de Lucia, and other great composers. Here is to them both.. Salud!

S.B. Parks & Recreation contracted with Robert this year to start his class "Spanish Guitar with Robert Boyd". The class is a small group that meets every Monday night at 7pm. It is a 6 week course and the lessons are 1-1/2 hours long. All levels are welcome!
